Pioneer Parkway

Grand Prairie, Texas

The distribution center is located on an 87 acre site at Pioneer Parkway and S.H. 161 in Grand Prairie, Texas. It is the first LEED® Certified distribution center in the State of Texas.

Hill & Wilkinson provided construction on the first of three planned distribution facilities on the site. A 602,940 sf, concrete tilt-wall distribution center completed the first phase of this facility.


LEED® Elements include:
  • White reflective TPO roof system to reduce heat island effect
  • Added a large volume of fly ash (recycled filler) in all concrete for paving
  • Diverted 80% of construction waste from landfills
  • Used 40% regional materials (innovation credit)

Hill & Wilkinson has met all the pre-requisites and received 26 of 69 points according to LEED® for Core and Shell guidelines. This project has received LEED® Silver Certification from the USGBC.
