The Simmons Ambulatory Surgery Center is the first new facility in 20 years on Parkland's main campus. This was a design-build, two-story, 62,300 square foot center houses six surgical and four endoscopic suites as well as a pain center, physician offices and preparatory and recovery rooms. Understanding the role of meeting high patient volume the Simmons Ambulatory Surgery Center was designed with a patient-centric design providing sensitivity and sensible flow for patients from the time they enter, through surgery to recovery and discharge. This focus on care includes a new patient "tracking" system offering real-time updates for family in waiting areas. The ASC offers a full-continuum of care adding the latest technology advancements for minimally invasive surgery.
